A Conversation with Jay Clayton and Annie Ostrager

Annie talks with Jay about the most interesting legal issues she’s seen in her career, how S&C’s generalist approach helps her handle employment matters, and the ways she fosters strong and productive relationships with clients, among other topics.

“I learned [relationship-building] from mentorship of partners who are more senior than I am here, who I’ve worked with over the course of my career.  And in part I think it comes from seeing a lot of different types of matters and understanding that the best resolution for a client really depends on the client’s business, the client’s priorities, and it’s not going to be the same in every situation.”
